There's no shortage of prime hotel eateries to indulge in Barcelona, but one of the town's trendiest is also one of the most delicious. Located inside Hotel Omm, Roca Moo is accessed behind a lounge entryway off the main lobby leading to a dressy dining room of differing communal, almost office-like tabletops illuminated by architectural skylights that pierce through the ceiling. A single wall of glass features arrangement of ornamental bamboo while the hotel's interior courtyard of the hotel has been turned into an on-site organic garden where many of the salads and vegetables are harvested for the seasonal dining menus.
The Food
Moo is led by the infamous Roca Brothers and chef Felip Llufriu, together creating a culinary twist on traditional Catalan recipes from this prized Barcelona hotel dining room. A weekday lunch menu features a prix fixe presentation of onion soup woth poached egg, foie gras over bed of Santa Pau beans and stuffed hen with cabbage. Dinner is even richer with Gourmet, Seasonal of Vegetarian Prix Fixe menus of lobster ravioli with sweet potato, cod macaroni and leek soup, chicken meatballs with foie gras or roasted veggie seitan for non-meat eaters.
